Our story
Two pairs of hands, one studio
Soil and Soul Ceramics is a small family studio in Portugal. Every piece is made by hand by Maria — wheel-thrown or hand-built, glazed and fired in her own kiln — while her son grows up in the dust and warmth of the studio, sometimes adding a brushstroke of his own.
Each piece in this shop is made with care, curiosity and creativity. From refined collections to experimental studio pieces, every item reflects Maria's journey as a ceramic artist and her love for natural materials, organic shapes and honest craftsmanship.
We like wabi-sabi — the beauty of an uneven rim, the mark of a thumb, the glaze that pooled where it wanted to. Nothing here is perfect, and that is the point: every piece carries the hand that made it.
