Soil and Soul Ceramics
FAQ
Where do you ship?
Within Portugal and the European Union. Shipping costs are shown at checkout before you pay.
Is every piece one of a kind?
Most are, and one-of-a-kind pieces are marked on the product page. Some designs are made in several pieces, and personalised cups are made to order, so each one varies slightly.
How are pieces packed?
Every piece is carefully packed for the journey. If something arrives damaged, let us know (a photo helps) and we'll make it right with a similar piece or a full refund.
How do I care for my piece?
Hand wash it gently and avoid sudden temperature changes. Everything else is in our care guide.
What is the Studio Study collection?
Early and experimental pieces made while learning. They may show small irregularities, and each listing says so. See the collection.
Can I return a piece?
Yes. You have 14 days after delivery to change your mind, including for one-of-a-kind pieces. Personalised pieces made to your specification are the exception. Get in touch through the Contact page to start a return.
Do you take custom orders?
Personalised name cups and bowls are in the shop. For other commissions, get in touch and we'll tell you honestly whether Maria can take it on, and when.
Do you run workshops?
We're preparing small-group pottery workshops in the Lisbon area. Join the waitlist on the Workshops page to hear first when dates open.
Who makes the pieces?
Maria, in her studio in Portugal. She shapes the pieces by hand and fires them in her own kiln — and her son sometimes paints one.
